Lips Lips Lips

Hi everyone!!

So this blog is going to be a little different- I am going to tell you all about my experience of receiving my first lip injections!!

Although my top lip never looked bad, it has always been an insecurity of mine and I have been wanting fillers for awhile now. I have always wanted my lips to be more full. I mean, what girl doesn’t? lol I met Dr. Bharti through a good friend of mine and may I add, he is the coolest surgeon you will ever meet! He knew exactly what I was wanting and knew how to make it happen. I told him I did NOT want “Duck Lips” and that I wanted my lips to look as natural as possible.

When I first arrived, I filled out my paperwork and Lauren, my friend, took me to the back where she applied numbing cream all over the top of my mouth and on the Philtril Columns (also known as the Cupids Bow). Dr. Bharti added to the “Cupids Bow” because it adds a 3 dimensional look to your lips, making it more realistic. Such a great idea right?! I must tell you that in the video I am not talking much because I seriously could not feel my mouth hahaha It was actually really funny; I did not feel a thing the entire time Dr. Bharti injected the filler. He walked me through the whole process as you will be able to hear throughout each video.

I wanted to show you a side view so you can understand why the Philtril Columns were so important.

This was immediately after the procedure and of course there was a lot of redness and inflammation, which was expected.

This picture was taken maybe 6 hours after the procedure.

This was the day after my procedure:

It is very normal to experience inflammation, swelling, and/or bruising after this procedure. When I started bruising a few days later, I used a color corrector under my foundation and you could not even tell I had bruising.

These two pictures were taken about 5 days after and as you can see they were not as inflamed and already taking the shape I wanted.

This picture was taken the day before I left for New York Fashion Week. Although I do have the snapchat filter over my entire face, you can see the shape of my lips did not change and they became the beautiful pout lip that I wanted!!!! Perfect timing right?!

Don’t get me wrong, I was a little nervous but clearly it was so worth it. I am thrilled that I had the opportunity to go to Dr. Bharti. I was always worried to get injections because of the “Duck Lip” that I see on others all of the time. I am so thankful for the end result!!!

Thank you so much Dr. Bharti and your amazing team!!!
